A.C.K Diocese of Kitui is one of the 32 Dioceses forming the Anglican Church of Kenya and it covers sixteen administrative districts. The Diocese covers an area of approximately 29,389 Sq Km including 6,369 Sq Km of the uninhabited Tsavo National Park, with a population of approximately 1.2 Million People. Kitui Town is the headquarters of the Diocese and it is about 180 Km South-East of the Kenyan Capital, Nairobi. All the districts within the Diocese lie in arid and Semi-arid zones of Eastern province and as such face rainfall unreliability.
Mothers’ union Department is the backbone of every church In the Diocese and all the entire body of the church. We are guided by the 5 objectives which cuts across Manage, Children, Church, Community and the less fortunate. We have also integrated all ladies into service through; ACWF, Dorcas Ministry and not forgetting Girls friendly society (GFS).
The KAMA ministry focuses on nurturing men as heads of families, enabling them to lead their families in Christian living. As the leaders of the church and society, this ministry will be supported through integrated programs that address family spiritual and economic needs.
Children’s ministry is one of the oldest departments in the diocese and it focuses on the Sunday services for the Children and other follow-up forums done either at home or in church.
The Kenya Anglican Youth Organization is one of the committees of the Board of Mission which is mandated to take care or the young people between the age of 13-35 years. Our mandate is holistic thus encompassing both spiritual, social, economic and political aspect of their lives.
This is one of the committees under the Diocesan Board of Mission.
The Evangelism Committee is mandated to encourage, strengthen, organize
and oversee evangelistic activities in the diocese.
